Costs can vary widely with design. Although LAVA can be competitive with Block-furred-insulated, we prefer to build 18" to 24" walls for energy sustainability. For sustainability, no other current building material can match the energy performance of LAVA at anything near the same price .

10. Are ecological alternatives to using Portland cement available?
